How do you iron-on a custom design?
- Create your design transfer in any picture editing program or open a picture you wish to have on your shirt.
- Print the picture onto transfer paper.
- Trim the transfer paper as necessary.
- Place the T-shirt on a flat, hard surface like a table.
- Pre-heat a clothing iron.
- Iron out the creases in your shirt.
Can you print on iron-on material?
Yes! But you’ll need to make sure that the printable iron on you are using is meant for dark or colored fabrics. Here are a few brands to try, with my favorite listed first: Jolee’s Easy Image for Colored Fabrics.

- Take plastic wrap and cover the picture (fold excess to the back of the image).
- Place the wrapped image on the t-shirt.
- Take the iron, which should be set on high and begin to iron over image.
