Well suited to both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, the solution does not contribute to water discoloration nor does it damage the established filter bed. Seachem NeoPlex is completely safe for invertebrates, though some of the more delicate species may become stressed out.
How do I use NeoPlex seachem?
Dosing in Water Use 1 measure (included) per every 8 L (2 US gallons). Repeat this dose every 7 days to a maximum of 3 weeks. This will treat external bacterial infections.

Is NeoPlex safe for plants?
NeoPlex™ is an antibacterial medication that can be stressful to plants and invertebrates (corals, mushrooms, shrimp, crabs, etc.) if it is used directly in the water. It should not be used in the water of tanks that contain plants or invertebrates for this reason.

Is KanaPlex hard on fish?
If you are concerned that your fish may be stressed by the use KanaPlex™, we recommend to start with a partial dose (1/4 to 1/2 the recommended dose) and work up to the full dose over time. It is also less stressful on these fish to treat in the fish’s food instead of the water.
Does KanaPlex make water cloudy?
Cloudy water is a little bit improved but still fuzzy. I have a MP10 blasting full on one side and the Tidal 55 at full on the other side. Flow and surface agitation is crazy in this QT. I noticed when I dose the Kanaplex + Metro or API general cure, the water will get cloudy.

Is it OK to put your hand in a fish tank?
It is fine to put your hands into your fish tank as long as they are not contaminated. By this, we mean, hand soaps and creams should be thoroughly washed off. Soaps and other residues left on your hands can be harmful to your fish.

This is a tank set up in order monitor and medicate new fish before they go into the main tank. ParaGuard™ is gentle enough to use prophylactically (without visible symptoms) if needed. Does KanaPlex crash my cycle?
No, it will not. Fully cycled aquariums typically make it through treatment with KanaPlex™ with no impact on the beneficial bacteria colonies at all.
Will KanaPlex hurt healthy fish?
It is fine to use KanaPlex™ in the fish’s food in these kinds of tanks though, and is our preferred method for treating bacterial infections in reef or planted systems. Fish that are more sensitive to medications (scale-less fish, sharks, rays, eels, etc.) should be treated with care.
Do I do water changes during KanaPlex?
KanaPlex™ No special considerations – time your water change to an hour or so before your dose of KanaPlex™ to minimize fish stress from suddenly shifting water parameters.
