Dreyer’s and Edy’s® proudly market our products under Dreyer’s Ice Cream west of the Rocky Mountains and in Texas. On the other side of the nation, we proudly market our products under Edy’s® Ice Cream in the East. We do this to honor both of our founders, William Dreyer and Joseph Edy as well as our past.
Why is Dryers ice cream called EDYS?
The company’s two signature brands, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream and Edy’s Grand Ice Cream, are named after its founders, William Dreyer and Joseph Edy. The Dreyer’s brand is sold in the Western United States and Texas, while the Edy’s brand is sold in the Eastern and Midwestern United States.
Is EDYS ice cream still available?
We have no discontinued them. We have changed the packaging to only say Kit Kat but it’s the same recipe.
